ABOUT ME
Most of my adult life I have lived in the high deserts of Southwest Colorado. I love the wild sacred lands that surround me.
As a young man, playing guitar and making songs was a deep natural, intuitive way to express my experiences. As the decades have passed, I have found a place of discovery and beauty thru the strings of a guitar. That is my good fortune.
As a performing artist, I hope my songs share that sense of beauty, harmony and experiences that can be found in a melody. I hope it is the songs - not the performance - that leaves the listeners in an existential moment, tapping their feet.
My music has many influences. It can have an Americana flavor when I'm singing my ballads. There is some honky tonk with classical moments, soulful lyrics, and hints of southern street blues. I love gospel music. When playing in public, I often improvise, feeding off the moment, setting and audience.
